The nominees for Best Actress at the 2013 Golden Globes have been announced for a Comedy or Musical Series and Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Lena Dunham, Zooey Deschanel and Julia Louis-Dreyfus are in the running.
It will be a big night for Golden Globe hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who are nominated for their roles as Liz Lemon in "30 Rock" and Lesley Knope in "Parks and Recreation" respectively. Fey's "30 Rock" is set to conclude its final season on Jan. 31, two weeks after the ceremony. First-time nominee Lena Dunham is up for her role as Hannah Horvath in HBO's critically-acclaimed "Girls," Zooey Deschanel is up for her second nod for "New Girl" and TV favorite Julia Louis-Dreyfus is up for "Veep."
Laura Dern won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy Series in 2012 for her performance in "Enlightened" as Amy Jellicoe, a troubled executive who experiences a philosophical awakening following a nervous breakdown. Upon winning the award last year, Dern thanked "everybody in this room ... [and] everyone in the category who inspires bravery and humor in the most unlikely places."
