The 2013 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Comedy has gone to Lena Dunham.

She was up against Tina Fey ("30 Rock"), Amy Poehler ("Parks and Recreation"), Zooey Deschanel ("New Girl") and Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Veep"). Last year's winner, Laura Dern, was not nominated for the award this time around, since the second season of HBO's "Enlightened" premieres tonight.

"I just wanted to start by saying that the other nominees in this category are women who inspire me deeply, and have made me laugh and comforted me through the darkest moments of my life," Dunham said of Fey, Poehler, Louis-Drefus and Deschanel. Dunham's "Girls" also won Best TV Comedy or Musical.

The 2013 Golden Globes are airing live on NBC from the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, hosted by Fey and Poehler.
