The Best Day To Fly Is Saturday -- If You Hate Delays, At Least

There's A Magic Day You Should Fly To Avoid Airline Delays

If you want to avoid airline delays, then book your flight for a Saturday, according to air travel agency AirHelp. That's when delay rates are lowest compared to other days of the week. Your chance of facing a delay is just 18.11 percent on a Saturday, but a whopping 29.47 percent on Friday.

The time of day that you fly matters, too. Fly early in the morning for the best chance of avoiding delays, which occur more frequently during the day, slump briefly in the late afternoon and peak around 6 p.m.
