Don't be afraid to take fashion risks.

Lupita Nyong'o in Prada: Now, this look could have gone one of many ways, but we actually love it. The quirky print might scream tacky tourist on most people, but on Nyong'o it reads high fashion. While we wish she had opted for strappy shoes instead of these heavy white pumps, overall we are in love with the bold colors and fun pattern.
Play around with nude tones.

Zendaya in Calvin Klein Collection: One of the things we love most about Zendaya is her willingness to take fashion risks -- and this look is no exception. Playing around with nude tones can get tricky, but here the singer chose the perfect shade. It doesn't blend into her skin too much, but it is still seamless enough to create long lines, making her look even taller and leaner.
Yes, you can wear sheer.

Kelly Rowland in La Bourjoisie: Rowland doesn't get enough praise for her killer sense of style. Usually we aren't fans of completely sheer dresses, but the intricate detailing and long length elevate the look and make it very sophisticated.
Don't be afraid to soften things up.

Charlize Theron in Givenchy: We always see Theron in suits and dark colors, so this pink tiered dress is a nice change. The color is so pretty with her blonde hair and it still looks like her style since she went with dark lipstick and a slight messy 'do.
A great neckline can make the dress.

Lea Michele in Michael Kors: We said that light pink looks great on blondes, but it turns out, it also looks great on brunettes. This simple dress is so successful because of the perfect fit and the interesting neckline. Sometimes it's important not to overcomplicate things.
Blue + Black = The Best

Naomie Harris in Jonathan Simkhai: Navy and blue is such a great color combo, so already this look gets points for that. And when you add in the asymmetrical hemline, ruffled bottom and Harris' simple styling, you've got an A+ ensemble.
It's all in the train.

Laverne Cox in Michael Costello: This is a well-balanced look if we ever saw one. The plunging neckline is perfectly complemented by the long train which adds drama and weight to the outfit.
Try arm cut-outs.

Heidi Klum in Alfredo Villalba: We don't know why we are always surprised and in awe of Heidi Klum -- at this point we should know that this lady always delivers. There's so much to love about this look: The cut-out detail on the shoulder, the mesh panels, the lace accents -- Klum FTW.
