This week, we saw some pretty spectacular outfits on Hollywood's biggest stars, thanks (in large part) to the Cannes Film Festival.

But we didn't just gawk at expensive gowns making their way down the red carpet, we also picked up a pointer or two. Noémie Lenoir taught us how to dress a baby bump, Anna Kendrick proved that two bold colors can be worn together and Lupita Nyong'o showed us that you can wear anything, if you wear it with a smile.

Check out the best-dressed looks of the week and let us know if you agree with our picks.

Confidence is your best accessory.

Lupita Nyong'o in Oscar de la Renta: It has been quite a week for Nyong'o, with fashion hit after fashion hit, and this look is no exception. Of course her dress is stunning, but it's her confidence and smile that make this best-dressed material.
Being pregnant doesn't mean you need to blend in.

Noémie Lenoir in Chloé: Not only does this color complement Lenoir's complexion beautifully (which is no easy feat with canary yellow), it also showcases her gorgeous baby bump. The French model and actress did anything but blend in at the Cannes Film Festival, showing mamas-to-be how to do maternity style the right way.

Natalie Portman in Christian Dior Couture: Simple, clean and modern are a few words that come to mind when we see this lovely gown. Though there isn't a ton of detail in her look, the interesting neckline combined with those statement earrings help her stand out on the red carpet.
Asymmetry is a beautiful thing.

Bar Refaeli in Roland Mouret: This dress makes the Israeli model look even taller than she is and the asymmetrical gathering helps to push this ensemble into fashion-forward territory.
Take risks.

Doutzen Kroes in Versace and Liya Kebede in Louis Vuitton: This might be the most stylish duo we have ever seen. The Dutch model chose a dress with cut-outs in all the right places, while Kebede (a model and designer) took a risk in a short metallic number. Knowing your body and what works on you is half the battle.
Sometimes black and white is best.

Emma Willis in Roland Mouret: This is the perfect outfit for the BAFTA TV Awards after-party. The English television presenter looked sleek in her black jumpsuit with a white halter neckline. The pops of color in her clutch and lipstick make her outfit playful, which is ideal for a night of partying.
Don't be afraid of certain color combinations.

Salma Hayek In Alexander McQueen: Many people steer away from red and black for fear of looking to vampy, but Hayek's dress proves that this color combo shouldn't be ignored. The tight-fitting dress skims her body and her neutral makeup and shiny, unfussy hair ensures that she doesn't look like she's wearing a costume.
Fit is the most important thing.

Anna Kendrick in Stella McCartney: Between the cut-out, the one-shouldered silhouette and her smize, this is an all-around win.
