Don't discount certain color combinations.

Naomie Harris in Mugler: Many people are scared to wear orange and black together (unless it's October 31), but Harris proved that it can be a winning color combination. The key to this outfit's success is the perfect fit, pearl accents and impeccable styling. Had this gown had any sort of dramatic flair, it could have veered into costume territory.
Change it up with a sexy jumpsuit.

Laverne Cox in Dmitry Sholokhov: Yasssss! Just when we thought Cox couldn't get any better, she goes and wears this jumpsuit. Somehow, this is even sexier than most gowns. The relaxed fit of the pants balances out the plunging neckline oh so well.
Remember to define your waist.

Jenna Dewan-Tatum in Zuhair Murad: We are so glad that Dewan-Tatum defined her waist in this jumpsuit -- had she not, this certainly would not have been best-dressed material. The slightly higher waistline makes her petite legs look longer, and the intricate embellishments up top help to ensure she is red carpet appropriate.
Revive old trends.

Michelle Williams in Herve Leger: To say the Herve Leger bandage dress is passé would be an understatement, but somehow this particular one is so gripping (no pun intended). The olive hue, key-hole cut-out and long hemline take a refreshing approach to an often tried trend. Bravo, Michelle.
Add a surprising detail to your LBD.

Jada Pinkett-Smith In Balmain: Pinkett-Smith really committed to this sexy look for the "Magic Mike XXL" European premiere, and we applaud her. This LBD could have easily been another sexy mini dress, but the sparkly fringe overlay helps to make the actress stand out.
Draping can make or break a look.

Amber Heard In Monique Lhuillier: If there is one place to turn up the heat, it's at the "Magic Mike XXL" premiere. The draping on this dress is divine, as is that deep, purple color. And boy is she making that front-gather work to her advantage -- it highlights her curves in all the right ways.
