Best Tweets: What Women Said On Twitter This Week

The Emmy nominations came out on Thursday, which meant lots of chatter on Twitter about the people who got nods and the ones who didn't. We rounded up some of the reactions from women here.

But that wasn't all women were tweeting about in the hot, sticky week that was. We've written about Instagram-related tweets in the past, but this week we noticed a more general discussion of cell phones and how we use them. Anna Kendrick explained her reaction to various forms of communication: "Texts: Cool! What does it say? Emails: Oh God... what do they want? Phone call: I basically assume someone has died." Lena Dunham revealed her feelings about one-word responses: "If you answer my text with only 'k' I'm going to be forced to assume you want me dead." And Alyssa Kramer seemed a little frustrated: "My phone didn't change 'skhhufjn' to 'do you want to go to the movies?' like I meant to say & it's like WHY ARE YOU EVEN HERE AUTOCORRECT."
