NEW YORK (AP) - In love or love starved? Betsey Johnson's got you covered either way for Valentine's Day.

The over-the-top designer debuted a funky collection Monday with the theme "He Loves Me/He Loves Me Not." Clothing on both ends stayed true to Johnson's spirit.

The first pieces down the runway under the "He Loves Me Not" motto were worn by models with dark, bluntly cut hair. The clothes are part of Johnson's "Black Tag" line and have names like "Love Machine" and "Heartbreaker." They included lots of leopard print, plaid and fabric flowers worn around the neck like a scarf or down the back of a coat.

The "He Loves Me" pieces are part of Johnson's "Pink Patch" line of clothing under $100. Those models wore blond wigs and brighter, lighter prints and sequined baby doll dresses.

Johnson danced down the catwalk when the show was over in a dark coat and wig. She threw both off to reveal her blond hair and a bright yellow T-shirt before doing her signature cartwheel down the runway.

She was followed by models wearing alternating pink and red lacy boy-short panties, each carrying an oversized red or pink flower. Johnson cheered them on.

The "Black Tag" collection was described as "Sophisticated. Sexy. Sleek" in show notes, while the "Pink Patch" collection was "Affordable. Accessible. True-blue Betsey."
