Betty White Goes 'Betty Purple' To Support LGBT Youth On GLAAD's Spirit Day

WATCH: Why Is Betty White Changing Her Name?

This Oct. 17 don't make the mistake of calling Betty White by her given last name -- call her "Betty Purple!"

White, along with "Hot In Cleveland" costars Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, and Jane Leeves, will be taking part in GLAAD's annual Spirit Day, and made the announcement in conjunction with the organization's lead-up to Oct. 17.

Spirit Day is GLAAD's chosen day of solidarity for millions all over the world to symbolically vocalize their opposition towards bullying and their support for LGBT youth by wearing purple.

Celebrities joining the "Golden Girls" icon by taking part in GLAAD's Spirit Day include Ke$ha, Nate Berkus, Jason Collins, Laverne Cox, Snooki and more. Corporations like Facebook, the NBA, MTV and NBCUniversal are also getting involved, according to a press release.

For more information on Spirit Day and how you can become involved, visit GLAAD's website -- and be sure to sport your purple alongside Betty on Oct. 17!
