WASHINGTON -- Who run the world? Girls.

Who runs Minnesota? Beyoncé. At least, for a day.

Queen Bey is performing in Minneapolis on Monday night, so Gov. Mark Dayton (D) and Lt. Gov. Tina Smith went ahead and dedicated the whole day to her. Seriously. They signed a proclamation declaring May 23, 2016, as BEYONCÉ DAY.

I mean, why not? She's powerful. She's bold. She's been a positive force for girls, women, gay men, the black community, planet Earth.
