It might have seemed like every celebrity in the Northern Hemisphere was in attendance at the Oscars Sunday night, but turns out that's not the case. Some stars chose to kick back and enjoy their weekend far away from the spotlight. Like Beyonce and Jay-Z, for example.
The music mega-couple were spotted having dinner on Sunday night on New York City's Lower East Side with non other than the original Miss Carrie Bradshaw, Sarah Jessica Parker, reports the New York Post. Five other friends joined the high powered trio around the table at Freeman's restaurant, and the jovial group stayed there well into the night.
"They completely blew off the Oscars," a source told the Post. "They didn't even have it on a TV screen. They were there until well after 1 a.m. with their friends, laughing and eating."
However, Bey's little sister and a musician in her own right, Solange Knowles, did partake in the industry's big event. The singer was seen at the Vanity Fair after-party in a gorgeous, bright yellow gown.
Beyonce has been busy lately with her HBO documentary film, "Life Is But A Dream," which debuted last week on HBO. She spoke to Oprah in accordance with the film's release about her intense love for her daughter, Blue Ivy, and for her husband, Jay-Z.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake announced they'll be touring the U.S. and Canada this summer after the success of their joint single "Suit & Tie."
