Beyonce & Joe McElderry? Mrs. Carter Puts Microphone In 'X-Factor' Winner's Face (VIDEO)

Guess Whose Face Beyonce Shoved A Mic In This Time

Either Beyonce has an odd talent for shoving her microphone into famous people's faces or her concert tickets are so expensive that only folks of a certain pedigree are close enough to interact with the singer. At her show in Manchester on Wednesday, the singer ended up dueting with Joe McElderry -- 2009's "X-Factor" winner.

During her performance of "Love on Top," Beyonce looked for an audience member to help her out. She ended up landing on McElderry, who obviously sang better than an average concertgoer would have. In the video above, Beyonce appears pleasantly surprised by his contribution. It's unclear if she knew of or recognized McElderry.

This isn't the first time Beyonce's microphone has landed on a famous face. At an earlier concert in London, the singer reached out to a frightened concertgoer who ended up being none other than Princess Eugenie. The royal -- who is sixth in line to the throne -- reportedly crumpled under the sudden spotlight and was unable to sing. Reality-TV contestants 1, royals 0, it seems.

Beyonce's "Mrs. Carter Show" is going swimmingly thus far. She's off to Dublin on Saturday and continues in Europe until the beginning of June, after which she hits North America. Beyonce eventually caps things off with three August dates at New york's Barclays Center, a venue her husband Jay-Z christened with eight performances of his own.

McElderry has released four albums since winning the U.K. "X-Factor," most recently dropping "Here's What I Believe" in September. All of his records have charted favorably in the U.K. Unsurprisingly, he was quite excited by the developments in Manchester:
