Beyonce Pregnancy Rumors Resurface, Threaten To Take Over The Web (VIDEO)

The Rumors Persist

Could Beyonce be pregnant with bey-by No. 2? Quite possibly, if you ask the Internet. Probably not, if you ask Beyonce.

Rumors started running rampant this morning when several blogs speculated that Bey's belted dress at the Met Gala last week hinted at a baby bump.

To fuel these rumors, many media outlets relied on Beyonce's recent statements regarding children.

Back in January, Beyonce spoke about wanting a brother or sister for Blue Ivy on "Good Morning America," cites Vanity Fair. Earlier this month, the singer spoke to ABC News saying, "I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister. At some point ... when it's supposed to happen."

But rumors are one thing and reality is another.

Queen Bey is traveling the world these days with "The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," and is set to do so until August 5. A source told People magazine that even if a little brother or sister for Blue Ivy is an option, the famous couple hasn't started working on it just yet.

Beyonce's reps have not responded to The Huffington Post's request for comment.

This is hardly the first time the 31-year-old musical phenom has had to deal with rumors like these. Since Bey married Jay in 2008, she had to deal with pregnancy speculations and even when she was pregnant, she had to deal with surrogacy rumors.

In 2010, Tina Knowles shut down pregnancy rumors on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and on "Access Hollywood Live." "No, it's not true right now. It's gonna happen when it's time… but not right now," she said in October of that year.

A month later, Beyonce herself addressed the persistent rumors. "At this point, they say that I've been pregnant like eight times, so I am kind of used to it," she said in an interview with the Associated Press. "I just hope that one day when I decide to be pregnant that people are happy for me ... One day hopefully I will be. It's part of being a celebrity, I guess."

Almost a year later, in August 2011, Beyonce famously revealed her conspicuous baby bump onstage at the VMAs. And yet, the rumor mill just kept on spewing gossip.

While pregnant, the "Single Ladies" diva had to deal with rumors that her pregnancy was fake, that she was carrying around a prosthetic bump, and that she and her husband used a surrogate to bring Blue Ivy to the world. Beyonce has slammed all those rumors after baby Blue Ivy was born January 7, 2012, labeling them "crazy."
