Beyonce and Jay Z weren't in the audience at the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night at the Barclays Center, despite the rapper's connection with the Brooklyn venue. But the couple did make an appearance at a VMAs after-party looking fabulous as usual.
The superstar songstress was spotted leaving the bash at PhD at the Dream Downtown hotel following the awards show. Beyonce opted for a body-hugging black dress with cut-outs along the sides and arms matched with a pair of sky-high heels. She wore her new bob in loose waves and highlighted the look with some big earrings.
Jay, on the other hand, kept it more casual in a blue button-down, jeans and Timberland boots. But he did add some bling with a pile of gold chains around his neck.
Others at the party included Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Lady Gaga and Drake.
Though they weren't visible at the show, Beyonce and Jay Z were nominated for Moon Men. Beyonce was up for Best Video With a Social Message for her "I Was Here" visuals. Jay was named in two categories, Best Collaboration and Best Direction, with Justin Timberlake for their hit "Suit & Tie."
The songstress has some downtime before she hits Brazil for five shows across the country in September. To promote the stint, Beyonce recorded a sexy, bikini'd video that definitely got temperatures rising.
