BGG Weekender: Free Yoga For A Year, $40 Of Credit On Ride Share Apps, & More (PHOTOS)

Now stop lusting over NYC and get ready to enjoy another gorgeous weekend on the west (read: best) coast. To help you enjoy the myriad restaurants, shows and shopping we're sending you to, we've dug up promo codes for credits (yes, free money) on ride share apps Uber, FlyWheel, and Lyft. All that aside, we're also giving away a year's worth of yoga classes c/o YogaGlo, which at its normal $18/month is a great deal, and gratis is, frankly, a broke girl's dream.

New York Fashion Week is over, and we have to admit to feeling some...relief. The seasonal batch of style bandwagoners surfaced in droves this fall, which made wading through the runway reports that much more arduous.

For our part, we'll keep it brief with takeaways that are, as always, every-day achievable: We loved (1) all the low, sleek ponytails in shows and on the streets (chic and so efficient), (2) J.Crew's SS '14 line, which struck a perfect balance between polished and just-threw-this-on-cool, and (3) Oscar De La Renta's gowns (hey! a girl can dream).

Onward and upward, ladies...

Friday

Your car service for the night: Uber

Download the app and enter promo code uberFirstTenBack for $10 off your first ride.

As it's Friday the 13th, your plans should either ignore the omen entirely, or repurpose it as an excuse to party. After all, it could be your last! (We kid, we kid.)

South Bay/Thousand Oaks/Valencia

If you're in the outer reaches of LA County, we recommend you start the night with an early nod to Oktoberfest at Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar. Think: beer samplers and schnitzel.

Los Feliz

If German fare doesn't strike your fancy, opt for Electric Lotus, Los Feliz's beloved purveyor of Indian cuisine. The restaurant moved locations up Vermont, and to celebrate re-launch, are offering up coupons for a free samosa, dessert, and glass of wine with a $20 purchase.

Once you've had your fill of naan and paneer (so long no carbs), head up towards Griffith Park and park it at the Greek Theater for Local Natives. Tickets are $30 and up, but if you're a fan of the LA-based band, it's a worthy splurge. Open-air venue vibes combined with openers Nothing will help you relax and release all that tension from the past week. (Bring a few friends - the Greek is most fun with moresomes.)

Other Shows:

Jose James and Moonchild at The Troubadour, $25; Tijuana Panthers at the Whiskey A Go-Go, $15; A Club Called Rhonda with Ejeca, Tom Trago, DJ Spun, and more, $5 before 10pm.

Saturday

Your car service for the night: FlyWheel

Download the app and enter promo code FLYLA20 for a free $20 credit.

South Bay

Ignore the fact that it's boiling this weekend as you dig into a bowl of boiling broth, noodles, buttery pork and the obligatory egg. The first annual Ramen Yokocho Festival goes down this weekend in Torrance ($8 gets you entrance and taste tests), but if that's a drive you can't stomach, head to one of 6 spots HuffPo named LA's best for the dish.

Downtown

Major Lazer, Matt & Kim, Riff Raff, The Party Squad, and more takeover LA Center Studios for the Mad Decent Block Party this Saturday. While we remember the party's come-as-you-are-no-cover origins, this year's lineup is good enough to make us dip into the good times reserves (tickets are a cool $30).

Other Shows:

Kate Boy, ASTR, and Glow Marrow at The Echo, $12; Ra Ra Riot and Caveman at The Fonda Theater, $22+.

Sunday

Your car service for the night: Lyft

Download the app and enter promo code Z3K2CU *BEFORE YOU REQUEST A RIDE* for a free $10 credit.

Locations Throughout Los Angeles

Sunday, 8 am: No, this is not the punch line to a cruel joke - it's the official release of the 3.1 Phillip Lim x Target collection. Per Racked LA, diehards will begin lining up around 5 am, but you can also shop the collection online several hours earlier.

West Hollywood

If you end up shopping the CityTarget on La Cienega, stay in the area after your spree and hit one of the restaurants from Dine LA's top ten list. Linger over a morning cocktail (or two) - this is why we love Sunday.

Hollywood

End your weekend on a funky note at the Hollywood Bowl for Earth, Wind & Fire. Call us old school, but we are finding it hard to resist checking out this show. As a finale to the summer Fireworks series, the legendary group will play some old school hits - extra points if your date can sing along to at least some of it.

Other Shows:
