'Big Brother' Jury Twist: One Jury Member Competes To Return To The Game Next Thursday (VIDEO)

'Big Brother' Evicts Another, Reveals Jury Twist, Chance To Return

The rule for "Big Brother" has always been to "expect the unexpected." But in the case of the latest twist to the game, it was totally expected, by the viewers at least. After all, Julie Chen had been teasing it for the past week. This week, she finally announced how one of the jury members would get their chance to get back into the game.

This came after Jessie was unsurprisingly eliminated in yet another unanimous house vote. Perhaps it's because there's just not enough craziness in the house in regards to the game. The last several votes have been unanimous, so it's clear there's a consensus ruling the house and everyone else is playing along to get along. Will this mix things up?

“For the first time in the history of ‘Big Brother,’ a juror will return to the game," Julie announced. "Candice, Judd, Jessie and the houseguest evicted next week will compete to see who gets a second shot at the half million dollars.” Zap2It's Andrea Reiher thought this was an "interesting" twist.

Of course, the houseguests don't know any of this yet, so their games will likely be impacted when the evicted houseguest returns.

Over at HitFix, Liane Bonin Starr has a theory as to why the producers are introducing this new twist. "This seems ... to be a pretty blatant attempt to keep Helen in the game," she wrote. "I'm sure she's going home next week (well, if [new Head of Household] Aaryn does Amanda's bidding), so this is 'Big Brother's' chance to keep this from turning into the Amanda show. But is this really a twist? Or just interference?

We'll just have to tune in to "Big Brother" to find out, Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET with the live eviction and twist on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET.
