'Big Brother' Shocker Takes A Cue From 'The Bachelor'

Chris "Swaggy C" Williams proposes to Bayleigh Dayton on the "Big Brother" finale.

The biggest surprise on Wednesday night’s “Big Brother” finale on CBS had nothing to do with who won the $500,000 top prize. The shocking development happened when Chris “Swaggy C” Williams was reunited with Bayleigh Dayton and asked her to marry him.

She said yes.

The couple met in the “Big Brother” house and were together for only 23 days before Swaggy was evicted by a vote of the housemates. They had not seen each other for 76 days before Wednesday’s finale.

“There’s been a lot of stuff that’s been going on in the real world that you haven’t known ― that I went to your parents’ wedding anniversary, I’ve spent a lot of time with them,” Swaggy told Bayleigh. “I play golf with your dad every single weekend. There’s a lot of stuff that I want to tell you.”

Swaggy walked over to Bayleigh and reminded her that while they were both in the house, he had asked her to be his girlfriend. “Sitting at home and watching you tell millions around the world how much you loved me and wanted to be with me forever made me realize that girlfriend wasn’t enough, honestly,” he said.

Then he got down on one knee and gave Bayleigh an engagement ring.

“In front of millions around the world, I don’t really care about any girl in the world,” Swaggy said. “I want you and only you. And I don’t really know what my future holds, but I do know I want you in it.”

This was the second engagement of the season for “Big Brother.” Earlier in the summer, Victor Arroyo and Nicole Franzel, who appeared on “Big Brother” two seasons ago, returned to the house and got engaged.
