Big Time Rush Talks Kids Choice Awards, New Album And Summer Tour On HuffPost Live (VIDEO)

Why You Should Be Psyched For BTR's New Album (VIDEO)

It's been a busy year already for Big Time Rush. Not only did the boy band start filming the fourth season of their self-titled Nickelodeon show, but they were also nominated for a Kid's Choice Award in the Favorite Music Group category -- fans can vote online -- and they're getting ready to release their third studio album.

Kendall, James, Carlos and Logan stopped by Huffington Post Live on Monday and spilled details every Rusher wants to know about their upcoming album and the behind-the-scenes process that goes into making it.

"Our last album was really targeted towards finding that cool radio song. [This time,] we kind of went with what’s going to be great on the show, and what the kids are going to want to just jump around to," said Carlos. "It was much more fun and less stressful."

The new album will also feature collaborations with artists they've never worked with before.

“It’s funny, I don’t think any of us ever thought we’d do an R&B song with Snoop Dogg," Kendall joked, alluding to a track that Big Time Rush made with the legendary rapper.

Rushers and fans of the music also have the opportunity to play a much larger role in determining which songs become hits this time around.

“It was more about the idea of writing a great pop song and letting the fans discover whichever one they think should be a single," James said. "We’re really leaving it in our fans’ hands to pick their favorite song and see if they want to push that to radio instead of us saying ‘this is the one, this is a hit,’ because music is entirely subjective.”

In addition to all their other projects, the boys also mentioned that fans can look forward to a Harlem Shake video they filmed on set, coming soon to a computer screen near you.
