Bill Maher Shreds The Media For Praising 'Defective' Donald Trump's Speech To Congress

"He read words off a teleprompter in front of adults."

Bill Maher bashed the media for a second week in a row on Friday.

The “Real Time” host called out sections of the press for fawning over President Donald Trump’s first major speech to Congress, which some news outlets said had made him look “presidential.” Maher lamented how his previous week’s call for the media to step up to prove its trustworthiness “fell on deaf ears.”

Trump refraining from “yelling at department stores and making fun of the handicapped” for just one hour does not a president make, he said.

“He read words off a teleprompter in front of adults,” Maher added. “The same thing the Olsen twins did at seven.”
