Bill Maher's Mark Foley 'Little Guy' Joke Makes Things Super Awkward For A Moment (VIDEO)

Mark Foley Shouldn't Have Used The Phrase 'Little Guy' In Front Of Bill Maher

Mark Foley, former United States Representative from Florida, appeared as part of the "Real Time With Bill Maher" roundtable on Friday, and for a moment, things got super awkward.

Foley, who resigned from Congress in 2006 after allegations arose that he had sent sexually explicit texts and IMs to young male pages, used an unfortunate turn of phrase during a discussion on the latest unemployment numbers. Explaining that he had a difference of opinion from one of his colleagues, Foley said, "I'm rooting for the little guy on this one."

For a brief moment, it seemed like Maher might let the comment slide... but only for a moment.

As awkward as this is, you kind of have to give it to Foley (who has since come out and been in a relationship since 2007) for taking Maher's response in stride.
