Climate change deniers have been gleefully boasting that the monster snowstorms battering the East coast recently prove that global warming is false (or some kind of hoax).
In fact, the snowstorms prove no such thing. Increased volatility in weather patterns and cycles is one of the effects of climate change, whether it is extreme heat or cold.

Noted scientist Bill Nye (The Science Guy) confirmed this on The Rachel Maddow Show last night. As Maddow put it, just because Sean Hannity is feeling cold doesn't mean that climate change is a hoax.
