Departing 'GMA' Anchor Makes Surprising Confession

Bill Weir said goodbye to "Good Morning America" Sunday, after spending almost six years co-hosting the weekend edition of the ABC morning show. Weir is replacing Martin Bashir on "Nightline."

As crew members and his fellow hosts gathered around him, Weir said he had a secret to admit: "I hate mornings, I really hate 'em, with every fiber of my being." But, he added, "I love the people who build this show."
