'Birdman' Trailer Proves Michael Keaton Is Set For A Comeback

The full-length international trailer for Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s new film "Birdman" has been released, and, man, is it a doozy. The movie tells the story of a washed-up actor (Michael Keaton), famous for portraying an iconic superhero, and his struggles to mount a Broadway play and regain his popularity. In the few days leading up to opening night, he battles not only his ego, but his career and family. (Will this be Keaton's big comeback? We hope so.)

The film is set to open the Venice Film Festival next month and was recently announced as the closing night feature of the New York Film Festival, which kicks off Sept. 26. It co-stars Lindsay Duncan, Zach Galifianakis, Edward Norton, Andrea Riseborough, Amy Ryan, Emma Stone, and Naomi Watts. "Birdman" will open in theaters nationwide on Oct. 17.
