Tragic Brazilian Car Crash Is Also Totally Bizarre (PHOTOS)

HOW?

This is one of the strangest car crashes we've ever seen.

Photos and news reports from southern Brazil show a nose-planted truck in a sunny field, dozens of feet from the road it was driving on before the accident.

According to The Huffington Post's translation of local news site Clic Oeste, 23-year-old Fernando Dirceu Schleicher, an agricultural technician, left an "event" in the town of Santiago do Sul, in Santa Caterina, around 3 a.m. to drive the 11 miles to Quilombo, where he was staying, when he was thrown from his truck during an accident.

Brazilian news agency The Globe reports that Schleicher's truck went off a 10-foot ridge at around 4 a.m., hit some rocks and ended up balanced on its nose.

Schleicher was found by a local resident around two hours later, Clic Oeste notes. With bruises on his face and body trauma, he was hospitalized in nearby Chapeco.
