Black Burgers Hit Japanese Burger Kings Again

Black buns. Black ketchup. Black cheese.

Is this the most metal burger ever? Nope, it's just weird and from Japan.

As they've done since 2012, Burger King Japan is unleashing its "Kuro" black burgers on the eating public. The burgers accoutrements are blackened by way of squid ink and bamboo charcoal, according to company press release.

The meat is broiled, and not really all that black.

We're going to go out on a limb and say it probably tastes umami.
