I’m sure you’ve all heard about the 30 Black students were kicked out of a Trump Rally several months ago at the college they attended. But the image of a young Black woman being pushed and shoved by a bunch of greasy rednecks and cowardly white men and women has really irked my soul. To see her being shoved repeatedly as they hurled racial slurs at her made my blood boil. Even worse, at least one of those men was a vet He’s the same vet who wants respect for his years of service in the military though, right? He seemed to be the most angry one of all of them, as a matter of fact. He obviously had a flashback to how he treated Black folks back during the 50’s and 60’s.

All I can say is, that young lady had much more restraint than I would have had, because his old ass would have gotten shoved back had that been me. And if I’d had my pepper spray and taser, things would have been worse. And the sad part is, had she tried to defend herself and pushed some of their asses back, she would have been seriously hurt, if not killed. I’m guessing the Stand Your Ground defense (the same one that allowed Zimmerman’s psychotic ass to walk free after murdering an unarmed 17 year old boy) doesn’t apply to this woman, or any of the other students who said they were kicked, punched, and spit on at this same rally.

The picture on the left shows a Black student trying to enter Little Rock’s Central High School in 1957; the picture on the left is from a few days ago, at a Trump rally in 2016.

Black people, y’all better wake up. Y’all out here engaging in silly social media beefs, participating in and posting ignorant fight videos, trash talking your own race of people, and all the while, a proud racist is successfully running a presidential campaign, without even having any type of plans on how to fix the economy or benefit the nation. His entire campaign focuses on “Making America Great Again” which translates to: making Black folks inferior to white people again. Snatching away every Civil Right and privilege that so many of our ancestors fought and died for us to have. And even worse, there are millions of white people who think and feel the same way he does, and they are going to do any and everything they can to put him in office so they can make that happen. White people who look you in the face and smile at you everyday. White people who are teaching our children in schools, giving us check-ups at doctor’s and dentists’ offices, sitting beside us in restaurants.

Yesterday, I went to an auto lot to sell my old car, and as soon as I walked through the door, the first thing I saw hanging on the wall was a Trump sign with his slogan: Make America Great Again. The lady behind the counter was helping a customer ahead of me and proudly voicing her support of Trump and his way of thinking, while Faux News was playing on the flat screen tv on the wall. All of that was bad enough, but then I see a Black man also behind the counter, an employee there. I wondered how he could do it…work around people who support a presidential candidate who says things like, “THERE’S NO SUCH THING AS RACISM ANYMORE. WE’VE HAD A BLACK PRESIDENT SO IT’S NOT A QUESTION ANYMORE. ARE THEY SAYING BLACK LIVES SHOULD MATTER MORE THAN WHITE LIVES OR ASIAN LIVES? IF BLACK LIVES MATTER, THEN GO BACK TO AFRICA? WE’LL SEE HOW MUCH THEY MATTER THERE.”

That man hates anyone who’s not white and rich. He doesn’t even give a damn about the people who are out here supporting him at his campaign rallies, like the bigots who violated the young woman’s rights in the photo above by putting their hands on her. I personally don’t even see how so many Black celebs like NeNe Leakes can smile all up in his face on The Apprentice, knowing he’s calling them nigger’s in his head. And don’t even get me started on Diamond and Silk- the two Black women who ‘stump for Trump.’

All money ain’t good money, and there’s no way I could be in this man’s presence, for any amount of money, knowing how he feels about me and my people. While y’all are out here b.s.ing, you need to be making it your business to let your voices be heard and vote so that this so-called man doesn’t become the next Commander In Chief. I know people are joking, talking about moving to Canada or wherever if he does become President, but you and I know that’s just talk. If he wins, we’ll have to stay here and watch history repeat itself more than it already is. VOTE!!!!
