Black Reporter Recalls Being Arrested For Trespassing Near His Own Property

"The situation quickly escalates," Chris Haynes tells HuffPost Live.

Chis Haynes, a Cleveland Cavaliers beat reporter for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, was talking on the phone outside of his Portland, Oregon, house in 2013 when he was unexpectedly stopped by the police.

After failed attempts to understand the officer's concern, Haynes learned he was being arrested for trespassing. Haynes joined HuffPost Live Monday and explained the troubling situation, in which he was eventually acquitted.

Watch him recall the haunting memory in the video above.
