Blizzard 'Nemo' PHOTOS: Historic Winter Storm In Pictures

As the blizzard dubbed "Nemo" barreled down on the Northeast, millions of Americans geared up for the potentially historic winter storm.

While its scope could be predicted in forecasts and tracked on interactive maps and real-time apps, like many epic storms, the story of "Nemo" would be documented in photos.

Thousands of flights were cancelled, kids stayed home from school, salt trucks and mass transit were prepped, and state and local governments urged people to stock up on goods and avoid unnecessary travel. Still, the cameras came out.
