Bloomberg Thinks Murdoch's Twitter Account Is A Bad Idea

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg doesn't think that Rupert Murdoch should be on Twitter.

It's no secret that Rupert Murdoch has made waves on Twitter over the past year. At a press conference on Tuesday, however, Bloomberg suggested that he doesn't think Murdoch's Twitter account is a good idea. Capital New York reported that he spoke out when asked about FDNY workers' racist Twitter feeds.

"Number one, I don't understand why people don't understand that anything you write, anything you send out, is gonna be retweeted, re-Facebooked, re-this, re-that," Bloomberg said.

"I've told your boss I think he should stop twittering," he told a New York Post reporter. When asked if he meant Rupert Murdoch, the mayor smiled and said, "I don’t know who that would be."

"The bottom line is, it's very addictive, it's easy, you hit a button and nobody thinks that the rest of the world is looking," he added.

Since joining Twitter last year, Murdoch has gotten himself in some trouble. He apologized after his controversial tweets about the 'Jewish owned press,' and a 400-lb. woman who fell through a New York City sidewalk.
