The massive fire that destroyed a stretch of the New Jersey boardwalk last week was accidental, officials say.

ABC News reports that a source close to the investigations said the blaze in Seaside Park and Seaside Heights "was not manmade." Another source confirmed that it was caused by electrical wiring.

Investigators are scheduled to announce their findings on Tuesday.

Sixty-three businesses were destroyed in the fire, which started Thursday and was fanned by high winds.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie pledged $15 million in aid to rebuild the businesses, which were just beginning to recover from the devastation of Hurricane Sandy less than a year ago.

"We're moving as swiftly and aggressively as we can to help these communities and their boardwalk businesses rebuild from this unfortunate stumbling block to our overall Sandy recovery," Christie said in a statement, according to USA Today.
