Bob Bashara, named by Detroit police as a "person of interest" in his wife's strangulation death, announced through his lawyer that he's hired a team of private investigators to solve the mystery of her murder.
In another development, an unidentified Oregon woman was flown to Detroit to talk with police investigators this week, according to WWJ Newsradio.
Bashara, who maintains his innocence, reported Jane Bashara missing on Jan. 24, the night before her body was found in the back of her Mercedez-Benz SUV, parked in an alleyway. An autopsy revealed that she'd been strangled, her windpipe had been crushed and fingernails were missing.
In February, the Bashara's daughter Jessica told "Good Morning America" that there's "no doubt in my mind, I know that he did not do it."
Though cops have searched the Bashara home in Grosse Pointe Park several times, no charges have been filed in the case.
