Bob Beckel In A Dunk Tank: How 'The Five' Celebrated Independence Day (VIDEO)

WATCH: How 'The Five' Celebrated Independence Day

Fox News' "The Five" took a somewhat bizarre approach to celebrating Independence Day by placing co-host Bob Beckel in a dunk tank outside News Corp.'s New York City offices.

Viewers apparently voted to see Beckel, the show's liberal presence, in a dunk tank on the program's holiday special. Beckel's colleagues, who were festively dressed in red, white and blue, took turns throwing balls at the tank while Beckel taunted their athletic abilities by way of political metaphors.

"It went right and low," Beckel said of his co-host Dana Perino's failed attempt to dunk him. "That makes sense. A Republican: go right and low blow!"

"It's not like I lost 49 states!" Perino yelled back, making her colleagues erupt with laughter. Co-host Kimberly Guilfoyle repeated Perino, since Beckel did not hear her at first. "Mondale campaign!" she added.

Is there any better way to celebrate the signing of the Declaration of Independence than with some friendly, hyper-partisan political banter? Check out the segment in the video above.
