Bob Furnad, Former CNN Executive, Accused Of Leaving Dog Feces In Neighbor's Mail Box

Former CNN Exec Pulls Gross Prank

Former CNN executive Bob Furnad admitted to leaving dog feces in his neighbor's mail box as an act of revenge, CBS Atlanta reported on Monday.

Benjamin Dameron and Ralph Miller, the victims of Furnad's prank, said that they have surveillance video of him walking up to their mailbox with his dog and leaving a bag of dog feces inside. The neighbors said that they were getting ready for a wedding on their property when they found the package.

Furnad — who was the president of CNN Headline News until 2001 — owned up to the stunt in statements to local police and media outlets. And he didn't seem repentant.

"This was an immature act in response to years of malicious rumor mongering that I consider defamation of character," he told the Covington News.

He was fined $180 for littering.
