'Body Of Proof' Getting New Network? Dana Delany Series Could Live Again

'Body Of Proof' Lives?

"Body of Proof" could live to see another day on a new network. According to Deadline, ABC Studios is fighting to keep the Dana Delany medical examiner procedural alive after the network ABC canceled it.

Deadline reports USA, TNT and WGA America are possible new homes for the series, which also starred Jeri Ryan and Mark Valley. However, a source close to the situation said USA is not looking at the series.

“We had a very strong season in terms of [new series] development,” Paul Lee, president of ABC Entertainment Group, said during a conference call with reporters on Tuesday. “I would love to see 'Body of Proof' find a good home for itself.”

"Body of Proof" ran for three seasons on ABC. While it was never an outright hit, the series had strong ratings. A recent episode had 8.24 million viewers and a 1.4 rating in the 18-49 demographic.

Delany tweeted about the possibility.

A rep for ABC Studios said there was no news to report at this time. Click over to Deadline for more.
