An article from the McClatchy Washington Bureau reported that there are now six American agencies working as an inter-agency group that are looking into the Russian attempt to influence the U.S. election in favor of Donald Trump.

The agencies involved are the FBI, CIA, NSA, Justice Department, Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, and representatives of the Director of National Intelligence.

If this story of Russian hacking has been taken less seriously as of late, there is new information that must be brought to the public’s attention: these agencies are also investigating whether Russian money was covertly used to aid Trump’s victory.

According to two sources familiar with the case, one allegation brings up some interesting claims involving whether a system for paying thousands of Russian-American pensioners was used to pay some email hackers in the United States or used to provide the money to intermediaries who then paid the hackers.

What is even more interesting is that this interagency group has been working together before the FBI even received word about the alleged existence of a Russian blackmail file on Trump, so we can only assume that the allegation of the file’s existence has ramped up efforts.

This story must be taken seriously; our incoming president is currently being investigated for potential links to foreign powers by six American agencies, yet somehow Hillary Clinton’s emails were constantly brought up on every news network throughout the entire election.
