It's photos like these that make everything seem all right.
When we posted Sunday about an irresistibly adorable photo of a Staffordshire Bull Terrier with a bird on his head, the dog's owner contacted us and showed us dozens more pictures of the 3-year-old pit bull pup, named Boom. And they're positively precious.
Boom's owner, Carla of Working Terriers, trains her dogs for obedience competitions and dog sports like dock diving. She has also taken lots of photos of Boom and has posted them on his Facebook page. The series featuring Boom palling around with a chick and a basketful of bunnies (seen below) were taken for Easter.
Although pit bulls are often portrayed as overly aggressive (the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals notes that they may become belligerent faster than other breeds of dogs), the American Veterinary Medicine Association says that "controlled studies have not identified this breed group as disproportionately dangerous."
