Alcoholic Slushies Are Making Summers Better (And Boozier)

Summer + booze + slushy = perfection.

The best thing about boozy slushies is that they give us an excuse to drink our favorite frozen drink, the slushy. Plus, the buzz. While milkshakes are nice and smoothies are refreshing, there's nothing like a sugary, brightly-flavored slushy to make you feel like you're living the summertime dream.

You could just spike your 7-Eleven slushy, or find an alcoholic slushy maker taking orders off of Instagram, but we think you'll be way better off making your own -- despite the extra work. First, you'll know exactly what is creating the intense color in your drink. Second, you can take advantage of summer's bounty of fruit. And third, you can make (and drink) as many as your liver can handle. Still not convinced? Let these recipes show you the light.
