'Boston's Finest' Premiere: Donnie Wahlberg Brings Real-Life Drama Of Boston Police (VIDEO)

'Boston's Finest' Premiere: Reality Show Spotlights Boston Police

TNT's latest foray into reality television premiered with "Boston's Finest." The series chronicles the real exploits of the Boston police force, and right away it became evident that this series wasn't going to keep things gentle for its viewers. These are some of the most dangerous and toughest situations the Boston police can find themselves in.

In the premiere, one pair of officers got a call to a house where there was a huge fight underway. One of the onlookers told them that someone inside was shooting a gun, immediately raising the threat factor exponentially.

Executive producer Donnie Wahlberg ("Blue Bloods") told Zap2It that he wanted to do this show in hopes of getting his Boston-based family back in favor with the police. Apparently, they've been arrested a lot. According to the AV Club, he may be off to a good start, writing that "Boston's Finest" is beautifully shot and captures the real character of the officers presented.

See more real life danger and drama on "Boston's Finest," Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TNT.
