Boy Scouts Hold 100th Anniversary Sleepover In Times Square

Twelve Boy Scouts took a break from their wooded campgrounds this past Friday night, opting to set up camp in Times Square instead.

The Times Square festivities, organized by the Greater New York Council of Boy Scouts Of America, were conducted in celebration of the Organization's 100th Anniversary.

Approximately 46,000 Scouts, volunteers, and leaders were expected to make it out to Virginia for the primary celebration, a ten-day jamboree that's held every four years.

But Troop 36 of Rockland County chose to honor the milestone in the Big Apple, staying out in Times Square for 24 straight hours.
