Brad Pitt: Angelina Jolie Marriage 'Something We've Got To Look At'

Brad & Angelina Tell Kids 'Mommy & Daddy Are Going Off To Kiss'

It's hard enough escaping the paparazzi. But carving some private time amidst six young kids? Now that's a challenge.

In an extensive interview about his personal life with USA Weekend, Brad Pitt opens up about his partner Angelina Jolie and brood of six kids, telling the newspaper about their lives avoiding the press and trying to create a sense of normalcy for growing children. They have six kids, all between the ages of 2-9; daughter Shiloh just turned five.

It's not an easy existence, he says, being perhaps the most sought after family in the world.

"We're hunted," Pitt said. "Our kids have to live behind a gate. Outside, there are people with cameras... But I'll take the trade-off. I never knew I was capable of experiencing so much love."

Pitt describes his duties in loving terms, from rescuing his children from bad dreams to making dinner to packing their suitcases in minimal, military style -- though that last part is Jolie's forte. But it's not all stress, he says. The fun seems to never stop in the Pitt-Jolie household.

"Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us," Pitt explains. "It's not unusual for the kids to be covered in paint. We have mud fights. It's chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that."

Of course, it ain't just fun for the kids, either. The two movie megastars make sure to get their private time, too.

"There are no secrets at our house," Pitt laughed. "We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."

And as for marriage? While they were going to wait for national marriage equality, with the kids asking, he says it's something they'll have to look at.
