It's been a little over a month since the world's most famous couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, announced their engagement to the world, so naturally everyone is wondering when they will finally walk down the aisle. However, Pitt put any wedding date rumors to rest at a press conference at the Cannes International Film Festival this week.
"We actually, really and truly, have no date ... It's just something that makes sense to us, and certainly date-wise, it's just a rumor ... We're still hoping that we can figure out marriage equality in the states before that date."
Pitt is in France promoting his new film, "Killing Them Softly," and his comments make sense, considering the couple's previous decision to hold off on tying the knot until gay marriage was legal throughout the U.S. When they announced their engagement in April -- after years of rumors -- a rep for the couple stated that their engagement was a "promise for the future."
Pitt and Jolie met on the set of the 2005 film "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," while Pitt was still married to actress Jennifer Aniston. The couple has six children together: Maddox, 10; Pax, 8; Zahara, 7; Shiloh, almost 6; and 3-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
