Move over, "West Wing": Bradley Whitford is headed to "Shameless."

The Emmy winner has booked a two-episode stint on the Showtime series' upcoming season as Abraham, described as a "powerful, well-dressed gay man who is also a political activist."

In addition to his critically acclaimed role on "The West Wing," Whitford's other TV credits include "Parks And Recreation" and "The Mentalist."

Lisa Edelstein is moving to "Elementary." The "House" alum will guest star on Episode 7 of CBS' debut Sherlock Holmes series as Heather Vanowen, the CEO of a high-end PR firm. Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) is investigating a deadly bombing aimed at her company. [TVLine]

Drea de Mateo has been cast in "Stalkers."
The "Sopranos" vet has joined Lifetime's upcoming movie as temperamental police officer as Diane Harper. [THR]

Patton Oswalt is swinging by "Justified."
Oswalt will appear on the FX series as local constable Bob Sweeney. [TVLine]
