Report: NFL Star Accused OF Shooting 2 Men

UPDATE: The Orange County Sheriff's office confirmed that Brandon Meriweather was present at the shooting two weeks ago, according to the Boston Herald. However, a relative of Meriweather's told Bob Hohler of the Boston Globe that he tried to break up the fight when the shots were fired.

New England Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather is accused of shooting two men during a brawl on February 27 outside a house party in Apopka, Fla., Deadspin reported early Thursday.

John Morgan, the attorney of the victims, reportedly claimed that the two-time Pro Bowler "grazed" a man's face with a bullet and stuck the other in the head.

According to the report, Morgan said that his client is "extremely lucky to be alive."

The two victims were said to have been high school classmates of Meriweather's.

Tim Bridges, Brandon Meriweather's legal guardian, denied the allegations that the Patriots safety was the shooter in the incident from two weeks ago, according to the Boston Herald.
