Brandon Meriweather Helmet-To Helmet Hits: Safety Concusses Himself, Eddie Lacy (VIDEO/GIF)

LOOK: Redskins Hurts Himself, Opponent With Brutal Hits

Washington safety Brandon Meriweather proved a danger to his opponents and himself on Sunday. The Washington safety, who appeared to lose track of the NFL rules relating to leading with one's helmet, was involved in a pair of brutal collisions against the Green Bay Packers.

Early in the first quarter, Meriweather led with his helmet and delivered a brutal hit to Green Bay running back Eddie Lacy. The rookie out of Alabama was knocked out of the game with a concussion.

Later in the first half, Meriweather led with his helmet again and hit Green Bay's James Starks. The 29-year-old Meriweather took the brunt of the second hit and was ruled out for the game with a concussion of his own.

No penalties were called on either hit.
