Postal Worker Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Dog On His Route

A home security system recorded the depraved act, authorities said.

A postal worker in Crookston, Minnesota, was charged with breaking into a home on his route and having sex with the homeowner’s dog ― an act authorities said was captured by a security camera.

Brian Chapman, 21, was charged with felony second-degree burglary and misdemeanor bestiality in the Feb. 6 incident. If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine for the burglary charge, and up to 90 days and a $1,000 fine for the bestiality charge. Chapman also lost his job.

The homeowner told authorities he became suspicious after noticing the postal worker spending a lot of time in the garage supposedly dropping off packages, according to KSTP.com. The homeowner was going to call the post office to complain, but decided to review his security camera footage first, according to The Smoking Gun.

The video showed Chapman entering the garage on the afternoon of Feb. 6 and performing a sexual act with the homeowner’s dog, according to the criminal complaint. A Polk County sheriff’s deputy reviewed the footage and confirmed the activity, according to TwinCities.com.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office hasn’t responded to HuffPost’s inquiries. The Postal Service sent this statement:

“The actions alleged to have occurred here are clearly unacceptable behavior and do not reflect the efforts of the thousands of professional, dedicated carriers in our workforce. While the Postal Service does not comment on individual personnel matters, we can confirm that Brian Chapman is no longer employed with the United States Postal Service.”
