Fox News Host: Women Should Use 'Great Body' To Persuade Jury In Court

Fox News Host's Horribly Sexist Comment

The "Fox & Friends" co-host argued on "The Five" that women who have a "great body" and who "work out" should use that to their advantage in the courtroom. His comments were part of a discussion between the "Five" panelists Thursday about proper female attire for young female lawyers.

"If you could try a case, and you have an asset which is a great body and a great figure, you've got to do everything you can to be successful," Kilmeade said. "So if it means somebody in the jury is going to be swung to your side because of the fact that you work out, then go ahead and do it!"

Kilmeade's comments were in response to a recent blog post by U.S. District Judge Richard Kopf in which he advises female lawyers to "tone it down" in the courtroom as to not be labeled as an "ignorant slut."

The Fox News host has found himself in trouble for his comments about women several times before. He once caused former "Fox & Friends" co-host Gretchen Carlson to walk off the set after he joked that men were "letting [women] play golf and tennis now. It’s out of control." Kilmeade defended the comment later by stating that, "we were having fun." Later that year he joked again that Fox News choses its female on-air talent by flipping through a Victoria's Secret catalogue.
