Brian Urlacher Blasts New NFL Rules On Dangerous Hits

NFL Linebacker LASHES OUT On New NFL Hit Rules

Some players aren't very happy with the NFL's decision to start suspending players for dangerous hits. Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher expressed to the Chicago Tribune how angry he is.

"It's freaking football. There are going to be big hits,'' Urlacher said. "I don't understand how they can do this after one weekend of hitting. And I can't understand how they can suspend us for it. I think it's a bunch of (B.S.)."

He also suggested that they should put flags on players and change the league name to the "National Flag Football League."

Urlacher went on to say that the only bad hit on Sunday was Patriots safety Brandon Meriweather's hit on Baltimore's Todd Heap.

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison injured two Cleveland players with helmet-to-helmet hits.

Both Atlanta cornerback Dunta Robinson and Philadelphia receiver DeSean Jackson suffered concussions after a brutal collision.
