The ESPYs may be about honoring the world of sports and its athletes, but when we found out Britney Spears would be attending, we couldn't contain our excitement. Sure, she didn't really have a reason (though we had a theory) but we don't mind, because any red carpet with Ms. Spears is automatically better.
As it turns out, the 33-year-old singer was there to hand out the award for Best Female Athlete (congrats Ronda Rousey!). But before she hit the stage, she wowed on the red carpet.
Brit Brit opted for a super short sparkling silver minidress by Davidson Zanine, which featured a beaded fringe skirt, a plunging neckline and an open back. The frock was a little reminiscent of a stage costume (a nod to her Vegas show, perhaps?), but we think the she rocked it.
She paired the flashy ensemble with strappy black heels and kept accessories to a minimum. Her blond locks were left down and curly, parted in the center, and she was sporting some serious smoky eye makeup.
Britney may not have announced the Super Bowl performance of our dreams, but she was there, and that was enough for us. We're still holding out hope for that half-time show, though.
