This is a story about a girl named Britney Spears and how completely unbothered she is by Katy Perry’s shade.
In case you haven’t been briefed by the Britney fan in your life, the “Chained to the Rhythm” singer seemingly took multiple shots at the pop princess on the red carpet at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday.
In two separate interviews, Perry joked about shaving her head after a public meltdown ― something she’s thought was funny since 2010 ― landing her in hot water with Britney fans, who reminded everybody that it’s never a good look to mock mental health.
Spears has yet to officially respond, but one only needs to look at her recent Instagram posts to grasp just how clearly devastated Britney is by Perry’s dig.
Hours after the Grammys red carpet, Spears posted a photo of herself basking in the sun while wearing a bikini with the caption “Chasing the dream.”
Next, Spears shared a video of herself in bed with a special message to all those watching at home.
“A book in Malibu is all you need,” a giggling Britney says in the video, which was captioned “Weekend advice.”
And finally, the “Slumber Party” singer drove her point home with one last post featuring a bible verse about how words reveal a person’s true intentions.
“Her mouth speaks from that which fills her heart ❤️ Luke 6:45,” she wrote on Instagram.
