It's been a big week for Broadway, in addition to the Tony Awards on Sunday, many other major announcements have been revealed this week.
A big screen adaptation of "Les Miserables," directed by Oscar Winner Tom Hooper, is in the works, with Hugh Jackman as the convict Jean Valjean and Paul Bettany as Inspector Javert, the officer who has is dedicated to bringing Jackman's into justice.
Stephen Colbert revealed in a recent NPR interview "Living alone but with my beard - and doing theater, that's what I thought my life would be." Colbert was recently in a week-long production of Sondheim's "Company" with Neil Patrick Harris and Christina Hendricks.
Following its Tonys domination, "Book of Mormon" set the record for highest Broadway ticket prices this week, with a prime orchestra seat costing customers a cool $487.25 per ticket (including service charges). Regular orchestra seats set another record or $165.25. The show has been receiving rave reviews and is enjoying a sold out run.
